Changing/Setting Payment Due Dates for long term booking

I’ve heard mixed answers and just trying to get a confirmed credible one. Can’t the airbnb host change or set  the payment due date to preference??

@Karae0 the definitive answer is no. Long term bookings are paid out at the start of the stay and monthly thereafter.

Right. Once they are being paid monthly I hear the host is in charge of setting the monthly payment date. I am trying to confirm if this is true. It seems it would be since the host can set all their other terms. For example if the host wants to accept payment every month on the first for a 6 month rental then they can do that right??

@Karae0 No the host has no say when they get paid. It is all automated within Airbnb.

You could just deal direct with the guest after their first stay but I don't know the legality of this if the stay just extends from the original Airbnb stay. You would also lose any protection offered by Airbnb.
