I had a very troubling experience with my recent Airbnb booking. My listing was suddenly canceled without any prior communication, despite my clear efforts to address the situation. The cancellation was supposedly due to an air conditioning issue, yet my listing explicitly states that there is no AC in the property.
To make matters worse, the guests remained in the property after the cancellation, preventing my team from entering to resolve the issue. They were uncooperative and refused to allow anyone in, which left me in a very difficult position.
I reached out to Airbnb for assistance and was told that they wouldn’t take any action until they spoke with me. However, they canceled the listing without ever discussing the matter with me, which feels dishonest and extremely frustrating. I have pictures and videos that could clarify the situation, but it seems that my concerns were ignored.
As a result of this ordeal, I’ve incurred a significant financial loss of over $3,000. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope that future guests and hosts do not have to go through such a frustrating situation. I urge other hosts to be cautious about potential communication issues and unresponsive guests.
