GUEST LEFT LUGGAGE AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS- HOW LONG SHOULD I HOLD?

So I had guest that stayed for  10 of his 24 days and  I ultimately had him cancelled out  because of  security reasons.   The  guy was a mess. I wont get into those  details.  After his  reservation was cancelled i immediately  changed my  locks.  I informed him that the  locks were  changes and to  come get his junk.  he  has not  been  responsive.  I don't  plan on holding onto his  junk  forever. I am not a  storage  service! Airbnb  does have  any advice or guidance  what is a  "reasonable" amount of time to  hold it.  Do you all have any experience with this  kind of scenario?  What is a  "reasonable" amount of time to  hold it for him??

@Corey164,

Airbnb will not provide any guidelines on storing the belongings of a former guest.  Since the reservation is cancelled, they no longer have any interest in interaction between you and the guest.  Use the Airbnb message app to send the former guest a message informing him of a deadline to pick up his things.  Tell him that if he doesn't retrieve his belongings by then, they will be disposed of.

Don't just believe what I say, check the Airbnb Help Center
