Guest leaves a favorable review off line on personal text

What if a guest leaves a favorable review off line on personal text but won’t place it on the Airbnb site? I’ve requested them to place on the site but they haven’t as of yet! I don’t want to bug them but just starting out I need the reviews!

Hello @James3437

How frustrating!! It's so important when we start out to have these reviews and I remember just like you, wishing that one of my guests had put the private review in the public one since it was so much better!!

Now there is time for the guest to alter his review as long as the 14 days have not elapsed and that you have not reviewed them also.  If both your comments are public then there is no way of changing that unfortunately.

However, all is not lost if this is the case, since you can write a reply to his public review that all future guests can read and you can use what he said in his private review in your reply thereby highlighting what they particularly liked about your place or you. Hope this makes sense!  Typically "I'm glad you enjoyed/appreciated......"

All the best

Joëlle
