Guests asking to pay cash?

Hey everyone,

Just wanting to ask about your experience with guest wanting to pay cash for a night stay at your home? Or your Airbnb? How often has this happened to you and also how many people have had items go missing and the guests claim to not have used them at all?

And this question would be for host that do shared spaces are you having issues with guests that are giving you super positive feedback in person and then negative reviews upon checking out after having zero issues checking in clean house and they find any excuse under the book to give you a bad rating?

If someone is contacting you via Airbnb and wants to pay cash, number one it's against their TOS and likely a scam.  So wouldn't go there.

I don't do home shares however we always take a damage hold before arrival and this prevents most abuse and theft.  I am channel manager integrated and am allowed to take a damage deposit outside of Airbnb.

I doubt it would be a scam, I think it's just guests don't want to pay all the airbnb fees and taxes.. airbnb only want people to only use their platform as to only making a profit off of a host.. Airbnb is never on a " hosts" side anyways as to damage or disrespectful guests, they do nothing anyways, a cop would.. nothing wrong in my opinion to take someone for cash payment,  my opinion, they're not our parents or guardians.. our homes, not theirs.. no different than if I were to get a roomy off of kajiji or something.  All about airbnb making a " profit".

@Dustin222  About your 2nd question, I’m wondering why you’re asking. You don’t have any bad reviews.
