Guests who don’t add the pet fee

My last 3 guests who brought their pets didn’t add the pet fee to their reservation.  I contacted airbnb super host help the first time and they had me do a resolution center thing and add the fee before they arrived.  That worked.  Since the next 2 did the same thing I’m wondering are they not seeing it?  Are they choosing not to pay?  It’s very clear in my listing!  I only recently starting allowing dogs and I find the cleaning process afterwards to be quite extensive!  Is anyone else having this problem? My fee is $30 per pet for the entire stay, which is reasonable in my opinion.

@Tami1   Many guests do not add their pet to the demographics when they BEGIN their search, so the program does not add your pet fee when they book.  It is similar to people who search without putting in the number of persons who will be staying and then get a message that guest 3, 4 etc. are only at an extra fee.  Just keep sending the Resolution Center request when you learn that a pet will be coming.

It would be nice if the demographics had to be confirmed by the guest right before they click on the booking button.

Question:  I sent the additional fee request as the original post mentioned within minutes of the reservation approval.  I have had no response from the guest.  When I went back to Resolution Center I believe it says I cannot send another request until the first one is declined or accepted.   It would be nice to cancel the first and send a second one, but I don't see that as an option for a host.

You can’t send another resolution request?!!  Not good!!

I just changed my description and added I may allow pets if they ask in advance and for a fee of $30.  We shall see if this helps.  The last 3 who brought their dogs didn’t add the fee and this is getting old quick!  It takes so much more cleaning after a pet!

@Suzy98   Your guest may not have seen the request or tried to pay it via the App.  The guest cannot respond to a Resolution Request payment without using a computer or a browser (NOT the App).  This is a known programming issue with the App.

I would message the guest from your dashboard asking them to please go to a browser and respond to your request for payment of the requested fee.
