Host lied of refund after promise

Hello,

 

looking for advice on a promise of refund to cancel rest of reservation stay due to safety health and cleanliness concern but Host did not honor his words, rejecting requests, stop responding and completely ignoring all attempts at communicating.
Airbnb sided with the hosts after documents and pictures proof was provided which clearly shows all the noticeable issues. Not only did he lie about the refund, house listing description were completely inaccurate.
We had to adjust our vacation plans to find another accommodation last minutes with small children’s and a toddler for our group of 10. It’s been a nightmare ever since trying to get this resolve.
Why is Airbnb allowing this super host to get away with all of this? Are safety and the house living conditions not an important factors enough to justify my claims? 
What else can I do to get my refund?

@Sokheem0 Aircover provides a 24 hour safety line and can relocate you to another listing. 

you should always only communicate via Airbnb messaging and cancel your reservation immediately when you determine you are not going to stay.  If you don’t do this and the reservation dates are in the past, it could be hard to get any refund.
