Hosting Overseas Guests - COVID19

Our query relates to overseas guests visiting us in the UK.

At the moment guests need to get a test on day 2 of their visit.

We have guest due into the UK who will travel straight to us to stay for three nights. They are able to bring the tests with them which one needs to be posted the other provides instant results.

Clearly they have been double vaccinated, tested on departure and on arrival in order to travel.

My question is this, What happens if the day 2 test is positive?

The law at the moment is that they must stay where they are for 10 days, they are not allowed to travel, until the end of the isolation period.

What happens to our follow on guests, our income etc, how do i get paid for the extended stay, will Airbnb help.

Hopefully it won't happen but what if it did?

I have put this quandary to Airbnb support several times over a period of 12 days or more and have still to receive a response from them.

As a Superhost we should be getting more help but so far they have been appalling and the support none existent which is why im coming to the community, can anyone help.

@Lindsay-and-Nikki0 My general advice is only worry about something if it happens not in case it happens. There are many non-covid reasons why a guest might not be able to leave a listing on time.

Worst case if a current guest can't leave I am sure Airbnb will cancel the next guest free of penalty and you can charge the existing guest for their longer stay.
