It is completely unacceptable that credits only show up when checking out!

I  just received an email that I have $244 expiring this year. But since the account page shows $0 in credits and coupon balance while my friends and I were booking our trip a couple weeks ago, we assumed the credits were gone and booked the rooms with another account instead.

That means that this unacceptable UI has just cost me $244.
