On instruction from the host, Airbnb cancelled our stay on the grounds that we had an unauthorised guest at the property.
This “unauthorised guest” is our children’s grandmother. She came to the house, one time for 30 minutes in the middle of the day, to collect them, as we were moving our belongings into the house.
Airbnb doesn’t state what “severe” is, but I don’t think any reasonable person would say what we did was severe. The unauthorised guest was also only on the property once, so it is not a repeated violation
Airbnb is at fault for canceling our booking for the above reason.
our $27,800 month long booking was cancelled by the host because airbnb didnt follow policy. My children and I have no accomodation and no money and have been fighting this non stop for 6 days/nights now.
