No show guest/review

Before the guest  arrived, i tried contacting her twice about arrival and access.  Finally after my third attempt she finally replied they were coming and planning to arrive at noon.  I gave  her instructions.  Day of check in, i waited, waited, waited.  I finally messaged  her at 8pm assuming her plans had changed which i said was ok maybe there would be a next time.  She responded yes they were w friends and delayed.  I told her fine arrive as late as you want.  SHE NEVER SHOWED UP.  I had plans my self to go out of town for the weekend which i cancelled to accommodate her reservation.  What do i do about this or a review?

Well, although it is an inconvenience for you if you still got your payout its sounds like an easy way to make some money. I would not review right away (wait until the 14 days are almost up)  because you never know if this guest is going to contact Airbnb and have an excuse to get her money back. 

 

I would write a review along the lines of "XX never showed up to complete her stay. She did not notify me of her changing plans and unfortunately, I was left waiting at check-in due to a total lack of communication."

@Jennifer2380  If you choose to review the guest, the only thing that's really worth saying is that the guest was a no-show who neglected to communicate her change in plans. It's unfortunate that your weekend plans were jettisoned, but this detail would not be relevant in the context of a review.

You are brandnew on airbnb and have just started renting – zero reviews.

 

Right now Your listing states: Check-in past 2 pm. That means, Your guests can check in from 2 pm till midnight. This is a 10 hrs check in window and that is too long.

 

I suggest You change Your check-in time to 2 pm to 6 pm. If You then have a non communicating guest again You can just leave at 6 pm for Your weekend plans. Your guest can then start communicating with a hotel.
