Paid 34% In Taxes For A Reservation...Is that fraud or normal

Is paying 34% ($100 in taxes out of $283) normal? This listing is located in Miami Dade County.

Along with taxes Airbnb auto collects, the host has added Tourist tax 8%, Lodging Tax 7% and Sales Tax 7.5%.

Receipt of the reservation: https://imgur.com/a/q7kjLQe

I contacted Airbnb support but they didn't do anything about it.

I hope this host is not committing fraud by collecting taxes and keeping it...

Wanted thoughts on this.

@Ricky262 There is another example somewhere here on the CC where a host has a very low nightly rate and then charges taxes of about 10 times this rate. Apparently this has been reported repeatedly to Airbnb and they do nothing.

This is fraud, I'm surprised Airbnb does nothing about it. Is there anywhere on Airbnb to report this?

Hello @Ricky262

On the listing itself, there is a button that says something like "report host".  You might like to try there?

And there should be something under your reservation to get in touch with support.  I see that this is a non refundable reservation.

Good luck and let us know if anything comes of it,

Best
