Poor traffic and rental

Good morning. I am Rosi. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but live in Massachusetts, USA. About one year ago, my husband and I purchased a flat in Rio. It is 250ft from Copacabana Beach. The unit is very cozy and charming, we made some improvements, but we only received 3 rentals through Airbnb. I have a good return from Booking, but I am unsure what needs to be done to have better visibility and return using this platform. Thank you for any advice 🙂

unfortunately the Airbnb search algorithm favors listings that have good availability in the calendar and I imagine that this is not your case since you had good results with Booking.com

Hi @Andrea6232,

Very interesting observation. My husband contacted Airbnb and he was told that we have "excellent" visibility but no numbers offered. I am not implying the our place is the best place in Rio, but in 11 months we only had 3 rentals through Airbnb (two of them to the same person).
