@Kevin3246
Kevin, I can think of only 2 reasons why you have repeatedly had these unfortunate experiences in your travels with Airbnb.
A/........You were looking for a chateau for a backpacker hostel price!
B/........You booked properties without paying any attention to the hosts previous reviews or hosting history.
A dream come true is not always going to fall in your lap Kevin, it's up to you to do a bit of homework too and make sure the listing you have booked will meet your requirements.
I am a proud Airbnb host, I go out of my way to provide the best experience I can for my guests. This is what every guest, yes, even overnighters gets in the cottage fridge.

A selection of cheeses, eggs and bacon, fruit and fruit juice, bottled water, milk and a bottle of wine! No guest has ever had to leave here to find something I didn't supply.....

Most hosts I know are like me, we want good reviews because that is where our future business comes from.
I have stayed in many Airbnb's as a guest and, apart from one, every one has met or exceeded my expectations.
But Kevin, I didn't spin 'the chocolate wheel' or play 'pin the tail on the donkey' to select the property I wanted to stay in......I do my research.
I am sure you will be much worse off if you approach booking hotels with the same diligence you have shown to us Airbnb hosts!
Sure there are sub standard hosts and properties but, that's not my fault or Airbnb's! That's your fault and I do resent that you are taring us all with the same brush.
'Hello and goodbye' yeah that's the one comment you made that I feel good about.......
Adios Kevin!!
Cheers........Rob
