Refund Policy

Refund Policy

I do like AirBnB and the service it provides but why does the refund policy favour short stays and not 30+ days? If anything happens even an hour into your booking, you are screwed if you book for more than a few days. They have to negotiate with the host - who can refuse to give you your money back and get another person to book their place and make double the amount!

This has put me off AirBnB for long stays. I lost £1 500 last week because like the dumb person that I am, I had booked for a month (like I have been doing every month in different countries since August last year).

@Houston18 It doesn't seem sensible except I guess you are blocking a very large amount of time with a host. Why the long stay policy Kicks in at 28 days is not clear but I guess you need to book for 27 nights from now on.

A 2 hour 'cooling down' period also makes sense but I doubt Airbnb will provide it.
