Hi,

I’ve seen a dramatic drop in my reservations over the past couple of month.  I’ve been a Superhost for more than a decade in a community that attracts many visitors. My prices have not changed much.

Trying to understand why.

Wondering if others are seeing the same drop.
Thanks,

freda

Hey @Freda34 , Airbnb is getting more and more competitive in recent years and having a great property isn't enough anymore to get bookings, Your listing Optimization should be top notch, from your keyword rich title and description, photo quality and captions, pricing strategy and always refresh everything while keeping an eye on competition and local market demand. Where's the problem specifically is it your views or the "search-to-listing" or "listing-to-booking" ?

@Freda34  Very simple: supply and demand

Very true - I’m wondering if demand is down due to VRBO, which is heavily advertised in this market and nationally. I very rarely see ads for Airbnb.

@Freda34 I suspect that it's just general travel trends, which change frequently. I see hosts asking this all the time, but focusing on their listings instead of the fact that there's likely nothing wrong with the listing, and it's simply that there's no demand in the area at the moment.

Yes, certainly could be that too. It's just never been so dramatic and so sudden before. I'll spruce up some photos and drop my price a bit. See what happens. Thanks !
