Hello,
is this normal for foreigners not to know how to tell the time?
I asked my guest when he was arriving. He responded at 19.
I expected him to arrive at 19, aka 7 o clock in the evening(!!).
Then he wrote 19 o clock in the morning(!!!)
Then I had to re confirm he meant 07. He held on to his 19, but I am expecting him to arrive 07.
This also happened with another guest, who I told could arrive at 15. And his response was “okay, I’ll be there at 17”
I thought numbers were universal, but it appears not.. 👀

I did some research and it occurs to be translation issue. The automatic translation Airbnb operate in their message, mess the time up.
I tried to report the problem. But the service desk did not understand.
Is this a normal problem. Service desk not understanding?!?
I add two pictures as examples
@Kjersti13
Yes, it happens that the service desk does not understand your question.
Try to rephrase it in simple wording.
Hi Kjersti,
I think it has some issues with timezone and Daylight Savings Time (DST). Also the customers themesleves will be clueless, trust me I made someone wait at the airport for an hour since I thought her plane lands about 2 hours later as per her time printed on her ticket. Most of them print the time of arrival at destination now.
Best Regards,
Ruben.
