What are the rules and ways to improve better services to guests?.

This afternoon I’ve tried booking a home for next weekend, and was denied. Apparently, I’m on high risk? I’m not sure on what that even means. I’ve only book twice and had great experiences. I don’t know why I’m being denied on booking? Is there someone higher up, I can talk to and figure all this out. It is clearly a BIG mistake.
Hello @Victoria2289
This sometimes happens when a guest wants to book a place close to where they live. Is this possibly the case for you?
I looked at your profile, and didn't see any obvious red flags. Although Airbnb says you joined in October 2024, but then on your profile, says you've been on Airbnb for two years (?).
This is one thing that comes to mind; just joined (?). You have one good review though, so that's probably not it.
As @Joelle43 mentioned, is it near where you live? That's often a red flag, because it suggests you're looking for a place to host an event (party) or something. If that's the case, then be sure to be specific about why you're wanting to book that place - and it shouldn't be to party.
Otherwise, perhaps your introduction message was lacking any information about you or why you want to book it, or just a little impersonal? That can be a red flag too, especially for "newbies". And if you requested a discount, then the red flags start to add up.
And finally, it may have nothing to do with you at all. Maybe the host just wasn't interested. That happens.
I wouldn't take it personally, unless you actually had something to hide, and the host detected it somehow. If the latter, then I need not explain further.
I hope you found something else suitable anyway.
Hello @Victoria2289, I hope you’re doing well.
Our hosts have shared their opinions; have you had a chance to read them? Are you a local guest in the area?
We look forward to hearing from you!
