cleaning supply

How does everyone go about taking inventory, purchasing, and distributing your cleaning supplies? I am looking for a good procedure to have this be done efficiently and effectively.

I would also love to hear how others do this!!!  For us it took a bit of time to figure out how much of things we were going through--and that changes according to number of guests, stays, and the length of stays so it is fluid.  I have recently put the items I purchase most often on subscribe and save with Amazon.  I like the fact that it comes automatically however often I set so I don't have to keep up as much!  I have a large LOCKED utility cabinet in the rental that holds all linens, cleaning supplies, and my stock snack items.  The cleaner and I know where the key is kept.  I also still clean our rental enough to notice what is needed if the cleaners don't tell me.  This has worked very well for us!

gosh, no clue, we dont' really monitor it. i buy a lot of my supplies from specialist cleaning stores though, not the supermarket. For toilet paper we have a subscription, which is so convenient and was also covid-proof in the madness of 2020. 🙂

@Rachel2080, I find that it is important to take note after every clean as to what is missing or ready to run out . Extra toilet paper ,toilet cleaner ,glass cleaner ,disinfectant, shower cleaner ,floor cleaner, disinfectant wipes, garbage bags ,tea towels, paper towels, sponges, bench cleaner, dishwasher tablets, etcetera etcetera ,always run out .something must be replaced sometimes every guest, sometimes weekly just whenever it comes up. I, provide also hand soap, pump soap ,but no longer provide shampoos or hair conditioners. Cleaning products are a huge expense and much more so during the pandemic. H
