We have a very good track record of 18 stays, 6 of which complimented us on things like "kept the place tidy" and "clean".
Our current host came over to change out the gas butane and it was in the middle of our busy day. He started picking
on us about how "messy" the house was and insulting us: Hasn't anyone ever taught you to clean? This is disrespectful!
Don't you know how to sweep? He was pointing out minor issues like how we hadn't swept the hallway outside the apartment building, huh? And the blanket on the couch was not straight, and we put the broom in a place he didn't like. He then started inspecting the place looking inside the oven and everywhere to find things to complain about. We had lived in the apartment a full month at this point
and have 3 weeks to go. I feel like he's trying to make sh** up to get us out of there. Maybe he double booked?
He threatened to return unannounced and that if we have the place not up to his standards he kick us out. All this in
fast and furious French, by the way. Can he actually do that?
