resolutions and lack of support

I had a terrible experience with the resolution team and now I don't ever want to host again. Thoughts?

Hi @Katherine655 👋

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you be able to share a little more information so that Hosts can offer their opinion and support?

I feel the same way! That's what has me HERE in this Community Center...but do I trust it? It's moderated by Airbnb on their platform.

I am a Super Host and do all I can to create an exceptional experience for my guests. I had a recent guest who (1) forgot to return the parking pass that is associated with the home address (2) caused damage to sheet rock.

My booking states that guest is responsible to pay me $150 to replace Parking Pass. I only passed on what I was charged $50.

Next I hired a handy person to repair chipped wall: patch, texture, paint. 2 visits. $200. Cost for this service was $200.

Resolutions took the Guests side. I went through hoops to get them an invoice. They pushed back.I asked them to call the person I used - since when is a "business" to do handy work required to be a registered address for that business?

They called, they verified. AND THEN they had the audacity to tell me that they did a global search and are reimbursing me  $50. What does that mean "global search for services" of this kind? where? in Portugal? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area - no one does a house call for under $130 for any kind of service!

Please help me by sharing your thoughts. I was treated so badly by this resolutions team. The person was unprofessional to my handy person when they audited the invoice (didn't even explain who they were with or what they were asking about)...I have come to this conclusion:

Air Cover is offered and promoted as a "marketing gimmick" to attract hosts and guest - but it is not fair coverage of any kind.

I have a guest whose child "painted" my leather couch and I've been working to get my insurance to cover it - this will be no fund working with Air Cover to get them to replace the couch!  What does "Global Research" mean!
