Chhosing a bedroom

Why do you allow property owners to includea sofa bed/murphy bed  in a listing when you allow for a bedroom search?

Additionally, the useless additonal photos of the vase of the table etc should be removed, they are a waste of time and not a selection criteria

@Carl11237 Can I suggest that you leave hosts to display their property as they wish. They do not try to tell you how to choose a place to stay so why should you dictate to them?

If you don't like pictures of a vase then just move on and book elsewhere.

Hi @Elisa  thanks for tagging me.

Hi @Carl11237 I'm not entirely sure what you mean about 'allowing for a bedroom search' and you  discovering a photo of a sofa bed in the listing - do you mean that the search should allow you to filter by the type of bed? I can see how that might be useful, and maybe also to be able to specify mattress size.

However, I expect the vast majority of room listings will provide a 'normal' bed, and give the mattress size - I'd suggest one way to filter out sofa bed type listings would be to go to the price range filter and raise the minimum price, because it seems likely that sofa bed type listings will be at the lower/budget traveller end of the range.

You can also, or alternatively, use the search filters for number of bedrooms and number of beds, and also the 'guest favourite' filter, which will reduce the number of unsuitable listings.

As for the 'additional photos', all hosts have their own unique approach as to how they choose their marketing photos, and the variety is one of the things that makes searching for your perfect Airbnb so much fun.

I agree that pix of the whole room are essential and the most helpful, but a few close up details can help to build up an impression of the listing, and it's a subjective thing, because some guests will love to see a lot of details, and some won't.

I'm sure you'll find the perfect place with a few additional filters in place (including ones I haven't mentioned above). Best regards, Tara
