Critique my listing - Brenda Puerto Rico

I started hosting in november 2025. Short term rental is in Puerto Rico's southwest region. The house is a 1985 build with some improvements. Feedback on Space, decorations.  Thank you!

Hi! I’m an interior designer specializing in short-term rentals, and I’d love to help you elevate your space.

One quick tip: your wall decor feels a bit underscaled for the room — using a larger statement piece would instantly make the space feel more intentional and visually appealing in photos.

If you’d like, I offer online consultations where I give you a complete strategy to improve your Airbnb and increase its perceived value. Let me know if you’re interested 😊

@Iris907 I'm just starting in this business and Its been a little slow and will have to wait for the upgrade in decorations, but I will take in consideration your suggestion for sure.

Thank you!!

@Brenda-Ivette0

You are a great affordable stay in Puerto Rico,  Rework your ad and photos.  Think of ir has the online brochure focused on encouraging Guests.  A Beach vacation in Puerto Rico with my small family.

What entices a vacationer especially to a warm island.  My group of 4 all can sit comfortably outside.  A place to relax after a fun day.  Share about things I can do with my group.  If your renting an apartment in a foriegn country I want to eat local food not cook.  The kitchen is were I get coffee, store cold drinks some freezer items, microwave  to zap a frozen breakfasr sandwich.  Tell me great family places to eat.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice! Im going to have a look into this! I want to take better photos but right now Im not able to do it.
Thank you so so much!!

It a beautiful place, but I see lot of empty space , so i would recommend you to put some big indoor plants  which will make the feel of the space more lively.  Plants are always a good add ons in low cost . You can try looking for Monstera indoor plants there are lot of varieties.

Thank you very much @Pranay14 !

Don't worry about the empty spaces. The place looks perfect, facilities and amenities wise 🙂

@Brenda-Ivette0 Before spending any money to add plants or art or anything else, reshoot your photos with much more light. This picture has harsh shadow lines and looks dark overall. Try opening the curtains,  photographing at a sunnier time of day, and standing in a different corner so you catch a more sun-drenched angle.  Your place looks adorable, it's just not shown to its full potential with dark photos.

Thank you very much @Raya526 ! I wanted to have a photographer do better pictures, those are photos taken by me with an Iphone. I know they're not great, I did my best at the time because I was new and didn't know anything about the business.  Thank you very much for your suggestion I will try to get someone do this for me.

Hey @Brenda-Ivette0 , your place looks great! However, like mine was a few hours ago, the pics don’t do it justice. They need to flow logically and tell a story, so people can get a feel of the house. At the moment, the images jump from house to beach to house etc.

Also, lots more light. I think another host who’s just commented said the same - open curtains, wide angle everything. I reckon 20-30 images for a two bed maximum. Don’t repeat the same type of image - you’re not selling the house.

Mention how far from the beach or shops, or convenience for work etc also a must - lead with its best assets, why people would want to spend time there.

And the headline for the listing - make that pop out for people scrolling!

Good luck though, it’s only final tweaking you need, you’ve done the hard work!

Thank you!!

Your problem is definitely the quality of your photos. I've attached a comparison of one of your photos: on the left, how it is, and on the right, how it should be.Comparativa.png

oh!! Awesome! What a difference!  Right now I can’t go and do the photoshoot, maybe I’ll be in a better position to send a photographer.
Thank you for your feedback!

Yes, this is the only problem I notice; some of the photos are too dark. Please keep it bright.
