Decorating for guests!

Good morning from Perth WA!

Keen to hear if hosts go all out and decorate for guests staying at their property over the Christmas period or not?

I want to put up a tree for guests but wondering how far I go to provide the best experience, yet I do not have the space to store a christmas tree and decorations on a permanent basis there... thoughts?

Please, if you have any photos, I'd love to see them!

Hi @Leah774... I asked almost the same question a few days ago! I’m really keen to see what ideas come up here too.

My favourite suggestion so far was to use a real Christmas tree just outside the cabin door and decorate it there. Thinking an Albany woolly bush. It saves space inside, I can easily keep it watered… and I just have to hope the local kangaroos don’t decide it’s their new snack bar 😄

@Bec3748 I must have missed your post! Great minds think alike! The Albany wooly bush is a great idea! I've seen them presented in Bunnings with adorable white ribbons in them! Very striking and surprisingly festive!

Hi @Bec3748 😊

Thank you for helping our host.

That’s a great suggestion! Are you planning to use a real Christmas tree as well?

Hi @Leah774 😊

Thank you for asking this question here!

Where would you like to put the Christmas tree?

I’m tagging a few hosts to see what they can advise you: @Marie8425@Karen4131@Patricia2526@Oksana127 and @Laurelle3.

Thank you in advance, everyone!

Looking at your pictures, you rent to Families.  So actually that could bde a selling point that picture for people planning for next year.  I would focus on creating a little tree, fake fire place and benches or someting simple sitting in the area marked library.  You haved space there.  Storage something I had installed is those shelves in my garage  I think mine are "Gorilla Shelves".  Wasn't expensive and those professional companies not ugly and perfect height so I park two cars easily in my garage.  I think a Great idea in that room and the pictures someone planning in June a family get away for Christmas next year.  Do your research even Christmas Trees are foldable.  Haha

A little decoration goes a long way. Guests appreciate the festive touch, but you don’t need a full-sized tree. A slim or tabletop tree creates the Christmas feel without eating up storage space. I’ve seen a lot of hosts take this minimalist approach, and it still makes guests smile. I recently wrote about simple, space-saving holiday ideas on Travelarii, and most travelers said they prefer “cozy” over “overdone.”

I decided that since so many different nationalities and supposedly persons with different religious beliefs are guests I decorate for "winter" rather than for Christmas. I do the same for Halloween through Thanksgiving, decorating for autumn.
