Do you have a hot tub in your listing?

Hot tub in listing (1).jpg

Hello everyone,

We've often noticed hosts ask in our community, if it's a good idea to have a hot tub in the listing and whether having one attracts guests. While many hosts have said it's an additional amenity that's attractive to guests, some have debated the cleaning and maintenance aspect of it.

So I am curious to know—do you have a hot tub at your property? 🛁 If so, how has it impacted your bookings?

Do you find it a game-changer for attracting more reservations or just a nice extra?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Regards,

Bhumika

We don't have a hot tub. My apartment is located in the best neighborhood in Santiago de Chile, but it is small and there is no room for a jacuzzi.

Thanks for sharing @Marcela904! Have you found other ways or amenities to make your apartment feel more spacious or special for guests? As per your observations, what attracts guests to book your listing? 🌻

We do not have one and are happy with the amount of booking we get. We do not feel that having one would increase our bookings enough to justify the additional insurance, maintenance and cleaning costs it would involve.

Hi @Kendall-And-TJ0 , thanks for sharing your perspective with us!

Have you found that other amenities or features in your space have been more popular with guests, or is it mainly the location that drives your bookings?

No, it's mainly our view that drives our bookings! Though, according to our reviews, people really appreciate our stocked kitchen and higher end mattresses and towels. 🙂

That's great to hear @Kendall-And-TJ0 , a stunning view is such a huge draw for guests 🎉

Having a fully stocked kitchen is definitely a convenience for guests. What items do you make sure to include in the kitchen? Do you have any tips for our new hosts?

As far as the kitchen, I just keep plenty of coffee pods and then small/cheap (Great Value is fine) portions of everything they may need in order to get by for a few days before having to make a trip to the grocery store. Things like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, salt/pepper, cooking spray, cooking oil, sugar, flour, and basic spices like garlic and Italian seasoning.

Hello! Currently, we do not have a hot tub but it has been a huge topic of discussion and something that we are strongly considering adding to the property asap. This is such a great way to gain knowledge and become better hosts. I'm extremely appreciative and love participating and helping in any way that I can.

Thank you!!!

Wish i could have added an outdoor hot tub, but will make  do with the indoor jacuzzi.

I do not have a hut tub. Our BnB is on the Texas coast so a hot tub is really not something that would be used by guests.

Hi @Judy1054 , that makes sense! On the Texas coast, the warm weather and beach activities likely offer guests plenty of ways to relax and enjoy the outdoors, so a hot tub might not be a popular amenity.

What amenities or features do you find guests appreciate most in your listing?

we have a hot tub that is fenced in as part of the unit. It is definitely a main draw for people. They love it, the maintenance is not that much for the reward. People use it all year round

Hi @Lisa9274 , it's interesting to read on this thread that many hosts agree on hot tub being an amazing amenity to have!

How do you manage the maintenance aspect of hot tubs?
