Hey guys,
Do you hosts provide body wash, shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom? Wondering if it's expected by guests or not. Thank you!

@Alain1308 Yes, and I find people used them over 50% of the time, I use large Cosotco-size bottles - no one has ever taken the entire bottle. I also include under the sink a toothbrush toothpaste set, cotton balls, feminine products, (someone also left a wrapped condom - trying to help a guest out I guess) bar soap (for their personal use), hair spray, a razor, Q-tips, tissue, extra TP (I have found more then one 2-night guest take all 4 rolls (probably headed to a dry cabin or liked the nice 2-ply).
@Alain1308 We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and liquid hand soap in both bathrooms at our place.
We supply shampoo, conditioner and body wash all in large pump bottles from Costco. Happy Hosting 😃
@Alain1308 i provide shampoo, conditioner, liquid body wash and hand soaps. Why not?
@Alain1308 I had a young lady complain that I did not provide personal products like “all Airbnb hosts everywhere do”. I broke down and invested in quality hotel sized personal products and created special bags of shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser, body wash, hand and body lotion, deodorant, makeup removal wipe singles, nail polish removal singles, purse size tissues, disposable razor, mouthwash, toothpaste and toothbrush to leave out for my guests. 6 months later, and 20 some bookings, the ORIGINAL bag of complimentary products is still sealed, unused and on the counter and the backup bag is in the vanity drawer. Not a single guest has used this amenity (or taken it home with them).
It is entirely up to you as to whether or not you provide personal products.
We use refillable bottles, and provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, lotion, dishwashing liquid, liquid dishwashing detergent, and reusable spray bottles for multipurpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, stove/grill degreaser, and fabric stain remover.
Yes, we do all of these too!
Alan We provide shampoo conditioner and bodywash in refill containers to each of two bathrooms. We find after 22 weeks solid bookings this year not many people use the products we have on complimentary offer. The containers are attractive and marked up. We think it's reasonable people may prefer their own products.
As goodwill I don't think it hurts. TD
Yes I do. I also supply body lotion and hand gel.
Hi @Alain1308 👋🏽
We do provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in our bathrooms. We know these little touches can make our guests feel more at home, especially if they've forgotten these essentials. It might not be much, but we hope it adds to their comfort and convenience. Also, we've chosen to use refillable bottles for these products, as we're trying our best to be mindful of the environment. We know there's always more to be done, but it's a small step we're taking to be more eco-friendly.
Agreed, it’s convenient to provide these items for the guests to make them feel at home.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. About half of our guests use them, the other half don't. When I travel, I expect these items to be provided as well.
@Alain1308 I provide all of them and a few other niceties, qtips, cotton balls, razors and toothbrush (upon request). I just try to think of the things I reach for in the bathroom that might not have made it into a suitcase.
