Early arrival and changes to listing information

Hi everyone. I changed our arrival time a while ago from 3pm to 4pm as it's too tight in peak season. Our guest thought it was 3pm and although it was ready, my husband was a bit taken aback and surprised to see anyone that early. They arrived at 230pm. As a result we had a 3 for check in which is very low for us as they thought he wasn't very welcoming though he wasn't rude and didn't comment on the time. Does anyone know how long it takes for Airbnb to process a change? I think I made the change at least a month ago? Also I don’t know how to find out when I made the change? What happens if it were an urgent change like if we had an operation or sudden building work required? Thanks. Sarah

@Sarah6111 Any bookings taken before a change will be under the original check in time. It makes sense as you have formed contact on booking and cannot unilaterally change it thereafter.

Sorry not sure if my reply sent? I said thanks and yes I can see when they made the booking but how do I check exactly when I made the change? Thanks again.

Any changes that we make to our listing, however small can be checked in host mode under:

 

==>Menu

==>Activity

 

I went onto your listing and your 4 o'clock check in time appears but I would also check under your House Rules or any quick replies/ automated messages to double check that the 3 o'clock time isn't showing by mistake?  I know I mention my check-in time under various headings and like you changed my original 3pm to 4pm - less nerve wracking 😉

Thank you. Yes the House rules, auto message and house guide are fine but this guest said he had a confirmation email on 10th April saying 3pm? I think I changed it around 2 months ago but not sure! Do you know where I can find out so then I'll know which guests know if you see what I mean?! Very kind of you to message 😊

It's great that the guest has given you a timeline, as you can edit your search under Activity by date to try and find when you made that change. Have you tried that yet?

 

've been onto some of my reservations and unfortunately can't see from my end the check in time under any of the guest reservations.

Are you searching from your phone (not available) you should find it under Menu from a laptop?!  Sorry I should have mentioned that🤞

I still can't see it but I'm on a desk computer and not a laptop. It's quite elderly! 

@Sarah6111 A bit like me then 😂  You need to make sure that this elderly desk computer is  running on the latest Airbnb version but I really hope you find your activity though
