Hello,
I was wondering how many hosts are using Ikea furniture which is not very high standard but a good value for money offfer. Especially Kallax shelving units. Do you use it guys at your location?
Michal
Hello @Michal301
I personally don’t use their furniture, but I do use some other products from IKEA and they’ve been great. The quality has been reliable and they offer very good value for money.
Hi @Nandini11 😊,
Thank you for helping Michael.
Which other products have you found to be good quality at IKEA?
I would love to know!

Yes and no. Certain items/ furniture works well. But if you do the whole space with Ikea it will look like a Ikea showroom rather then well curated space. A well designed space is a key factor driving the cost and having phenomenal experience for the guest. I suggest get a quick consultation with a design professional if you are having trouble furnishing your space.
@Michal301 . Not their furniture, but kitchen accessories like chopping board, cup hooks. I look for furniture that is hard wearing, easy to clean and keep clean. It often doesnt need to be new and avoid everything matching (because when something breaks you may not be able to get a replacement!).
Curate with some fun and individual style in mind. Good luck.
@Frances3408 No one the furniture we did everything IKEA when we first started 6 years ago and the furniture didn't make it trough the year
Hi @Michal301 😊,
Thank you for asking such an interesting question here!
What did you decide to do after reading other hosts’ thoughts about IKEA?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Michal,
We don’t typically advise using IKEA furniture throughout a property. While the occasional piece can work well, relying on it too heavily can impact the overall feel and perceived quality of the space. Interestingly, it’s also not as cost-effective as it once was.
Our approach is to create a more balanced, higher-quality look that helps listings stand out and perform better. We specialise in designing Airbnb homes that guests love, maximising both occupancy and ROI.
