How to avoid missing items?

We just had our first guest and there are 2 pans missing value $85 total. How can we avoid this? Are we allowed to set up deposits?

You can not setup a security deposit on Airbnb , unless you are using an external software ("channel manager") for bookings.

You can claim the pans from the guest, but you risk a bad review in return.

Consider it as incidental "business costs of hosting" en provide cheaper equipment to guests !

I homeshare and now have a lock on my lounge door after a tiny beautiful crystal bird went missing from my display cabinet. The door is always locked when we are out now and are hosting guests.

@April738 always take some time before you classify something as missing. They're often eventually found in the strangest places.
