Hi @Temperance0 - we are 'dog practical' not 'dog friendly' so take comments with that in mind.
- we have dog supplies in our rental: dog bowls, poop bags, dog towels, medium dog bed, random things for dog - and this is a cost effective thing to offer.
- we have some dog rules/info: where to pee, no dogs on furniture, crate or bring with you, and a few listing specific issues (not fenced, keep leashed as squirrels/road, etc). So think about your specific situation and include info that helps support that scenario. Is barking an issue for neighbors? is traffic an issue for dog walking? is the 'whatever' dangerous for a dog? are small children everywhere? are there squirrels to chase?
And what you do today can always be revisited for the future. We've changed our approach significantly over time.
Good luck!

Thank you, this was helpful.
I appreciate the advice on the dog situation. This has given me so helpful ideas to relook at my dog house rules.
Thank you so much for sharing this information @Greystone0
@Temperance0 Do you think you'll implement anything that was suggested?
@Rebecca Oh Yes !
1st I do not have any house rules right now for dogs.
- I need to address barking in my house rules.
- I need talk about dog crates and leaving dog unattended.
- I need to relook at dangerous things around the property from a dog perspective.
- having poop bags is a great idea and give better bathroom instructions about pets.
- talk about the wildlife around the property in perspective of Dogs
- talk about fenced yard limitations
- dogs and furniture need to be clarified
it was so helpful
I love that @Temperance0 - you've got s solid plan there! Huge thanks to @Greystone0 for sharing! 😊
I listened to this podcast on this topic, and it was wonderful, with lots of insight. The gal they interviewed also has a Facebook page on this topic:
Buongiorno
In genere chi porta il cane in vacanza non crea problemi perché abituato, unico inconveniente i peli ovunque che necessitano di una doppia pulizia

Good morning
Generally speaking, those who take their dog on holiday don't create any problems because they are used to it. The only drawback is the hair everywhere which needs to be cleaned twice.
