Looking to Host Assistance in Portland, Oregon (Multnomah County - 5100 SqFt Very High End Home)

Hello,

I have a Very large Home in Forest Heights (Multnomah County) that I'm interested in hosting on a Short/Medium Term basis.

Wondering if there are any hosts in the Portland Area that have experience of this and can help me with pointers such as:

1. What can one expect in terms of Daily rate, Occupancy ranges over the year by month

2. What can one expect in terms of Gross rental income and subsequently net

3. What should one budget in terms of kitting out the home - Currently Vacant

4. Are there any "Super" hosts that can realistically manage this and if so what % is typically charged for this

5. Are there any specific contracts, laws, permits I should be aware of

Many Thanks, Neal

1. You need to do your own market research . Look at similar listings in your area for rates . Look at Airdna for likely supply and demand for similar properties

2. no one can tell you your likely gross and net profit it's up to you to estimate this by putting together a profit abd loss budget with all your likely to set up and ongoing costs and a projection of likely income

3 there's no one size fits all when it comes to the cost of letting out your home . It could be £1000, £10.000, &100,000 it obviously depends on how much work needs doing, what your are going to spend on decoration and kitting out your home eyc

4 . you can check with your local government about STR legislation

5 ask on your local host group for recommendations for local cohosts  what they charge depends on what services you need from them ask them

this is a business and you need to treat it as such by carrying out proper market research

many areas are oversaturated with falling demand and/or have STR restrictions @Neal141

Good morning, I am just reading your post about a co-host and would be interested in chatting with you about it.  I too have a rental in Beaverton and am looking to expand my business to co-hosting.  Would you have time to chat? if so, when would be a good time for you?

They are asking for superhosts to help as cohosts @Sherrey0

Hi @Neal141 , I manage two listings in the Portland area. I'd be happy to chat with you further if you're looking for an experienced manager!
