Hello
A guest asked me if possible to delete the passport picture she has sent over, after the stay
It's impossible from my side but can airbnb actually do something?
I also don't understand why it's not possible to delete messages
Thanks

@Fabio206 , if it is the one she used for her Airbnb account, the answer is likely no (unless she deletes her account?), but she needs to take it up with Airbnb herself.
You can assure her that hosts do not see any of the ID a guest submits to Airbnb. Only their profile photo is shown, and even then, only after they book.
What messages do you wish to delete? Your Airbnb inbox messages? You can archive those.

@Lawrene0
Most probably the guest has sent a picture of her passport via the ABB message?

I think you're right, @Bob297 . I've misunderstood.
@Fabio206 the guest sent the passport scan to you directly via the messaging because of your visitor rules, is that right?
It would make sense to be able to delete that sort of thing. I do think messages are forever, though, and archiving is all you can do on your end.
Since the message came from the guest, she could try calling Airbnb to have it deleted. Her case may be made stronger by the fact you have indicated you are in agreement with her.
