Photos looking not that great with new Airbnb update

Hi!

I thought Airbnb always wanted the host to add horizontal pictures to their listings. So every time I photoshoot a new listing or re-shoot an old one I ask the professional to only do horizontal pics.

With the new airbnb search list update my pictures are not looking that great because the image thumbnail is on a squared shape...

Is there anything I'm doing wrong or that's the way things are now? I don't want to spend more money in photo shooting my 4 listings...

It is a screenshot of the search results page. Before the recent update results were presented on the website 1 in a  row, with rectangular image and some information next to it. i copied a picture from an older thread:

Now there are 2 squared images in a row, so it affects the quality of the image.

Also when people search in new "categories", Airbnb changes the photo in the result page, taking the image from the listing matching the catogorie.

I myself did not change pictures, i think most important is quality of pictures in a listing is OK.

The one in search results is a big "thumbnail" and most host will be affected by such a  'less quality picture', we are all in the same boat....

On a profile or homepage photo's are still rectangular (Hope Airbnb will leave it that way...):
