Pool Safety/Dock Waiver

Hi, 

Does anyone have their guests sign a waiver to use the pool or dock?  We have a property with water access and a an in-ground swimming pool.  Has anyone had guests sign any type of agreement/waiver through DocuSign prior to renting?

At law you cannot contract out of your responsibility so a waiver is useless.

@Cara378  Check with your rental property insurance company to see what they would require from you or guests in order for you to be insured against damages, loss or accidents.  Many pool owners require the primary guest to sign a waiver prior to taking possession of the property acknowledging water hazards and safety.  Mention the waiver in your listing and the signature requirements in your rules.  Be sure to also post pool rules by the pool -- don't rely on the guests remembering what they have signed or what is in your guest book.
