Power Usage

Hello, I'm fairly new to Airbnb, but I have seen that people usually turn on the AC units and leave them on for the entire stay, this to me is not good since the power expenses in Puerto Rico are very high. After seeing this I have added several notes asking to please turn off the AC units when not in use and specially if they leave the property (some people leave the AC units even when they are not at the property). I can access my AC units remotely, and I read in one previous message that is it a good idea to put the default temperature at 70 degrees, I have done that, but of course they can change the temperature as they want.

So in conclusion the only thing I'm trying is to ask the guests to use their AC units in a conscious way, lets see how this goes.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi @Alex13501 😊,

Thank you for asking this question here!

When did you start hosting? Did you already have the AC installed back then?

How are you considering to ask to your guests to be conscious?

Warm regards 🌻,
