Unique temporary code to open the property gat

I have a large property protected with an automatic gate...it is an electric gate with the closest wifi about 600' away. I need suggestion to 

implement a system that would allow my short term rental guest to be assigned a unique temporary code to open it. Ideally it would be a system integrated with airbnb reservation system, such as smart locks. thank in advance for any help you could provide

If you head to the top of the page and type 'smart locks' in there, it brings up an entire search of the Community Center where lots of Hosts have given their reviews on technology such as this.
