Hi everyone!
While booking for a stay, guests often look into the listing location — whether it's surrounded by scenic beauty (mountains or lakes), nearby local attractions or if your listing is located in the heart of the city.
I'm really curious to hear from our hosts — whether it's a stunning view, rich local culture, or hidden gems that only locals know about! What is special about your listing location?
Looking forward to reading your comments 😍
Kind regards,
Bhumika
I am a brand new host. We are located in the northwest corner of CT which boasts, farms, hilly terrain, beautiful hiking, lakes and small town ambiance. Only two hours from New York City it is an easy way to escape the hustle and bustle and breathe the country air.
Our place is a cute, private garage apartment behind our main house, and it’s in the heart of the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore. Guests have access to an enclosed patio if they want to relax outdoors.
Nearly everything you could want to do in the city is walkable from the property: It’s right across the street from the Inner Harbor (where you can do dinner cruises and other boat tours), National Aquarium, and Maryland Science Center, and several museums—including the hidden gem known as the American Visionary Arts Museum, which is a 5-minute walk (If you’re in town, you simply MUST visit their gift shop even if you don’t go through the museum itself!!).
You can also walk to Ravens football and Orioles baseball games in about 20 minutes. The property is nestled on a super cute historic cobblestone street, in a location where you wouldn’t typically walk if you were here as a tourist. We always leave local snacks (Utz chips!) along with microwaveable popcorn, mac-&-cheese, breakfast bars, bottled water, and a few cans of local beers in the mini fridge.
Oh, and did I mention free parking? 🙂 We absolutely love hosting guests here!
Hi @Danika24 , it's great to hear that you offer free parking? Is the parking space located near the listing?
How have your guests reacted to the unique charm of the neighborhood and the local attractions? Have any particular stories or feedback stood out to you?
Location absolutely helps. Our cabin is located just within the Nantahala National Forest and it appeals to outdoor enthusiasts. From white water rafting the Nantahala, to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, to chasing waterfalls and exploring nearby towns, vineyards, and great restaurants, all easily accessible. it's been wonderful to hear from guests all the different things they have done.
Another plus is, since we do have a cabin in the mountains, the road is very well maintained and easy to get in and out of our place with ample parking. No 4x4, all wheel drive vehicle necessary. Several guests have asked.
Hi @Carlos5710 , the accessibility to different locations especially without needing a vehicle, must be a huge relief for many guests, especially with such a variety of activities nearby.
Do you find that most guests come for the outdoor adventures, or do they also enjoy exploring the local towns and vineyards?

Hi @Chris22434 , your condo sounds like a dream for ski lovers! 🏂
Do your guests often comment on how much they enjoy the ease of dropping their skis at the locker?
Hello @ Bhumika.
Yes they do.
Have a great day.
Chris!
Hi @Bhumika Yes they do. It is all about the convenience and not having to haul their equipment around.
Have a great day.
Chris!
Hi
I am not sure my listing per se is special. It is a very honest and simple basement flat with hardly anything done for it, appart from kept nice and clean and painted. The photos show it as it is, with rather low ceilings, bare pipes and a simple kitchen/washroom, but it is spacious and bright and very peaceful, with private entrance and garden views. This is in a geothermal area of South Iceland so the flat is super warm and cozy as the waterpipes contain geothermal hot water from the ground and the tap water is super fresh groundwater from the base of the mountain seen out the kitchen window. The shower is good and we serve anti allergy soap, for guests and nature alike. There are all basic amenities, cooker, microwave and kettle with press coffee maker, and home made nature-pottery to be used at will and the queen size bed and washer are first class. Airdrying clothes takes no time at all in the warm dry air of the flat, floors are warm and windows open for all day circulation of freshness. The garden borders the open nature at the back and gives a good possibility of watching the northern lights in the right season, and listening to the common snipe and garden birds in spring and summer. We keep free roaming hens and a very friendly dog. The flat is situated in a pretty house in a pretty neighbourhood, immersed in nature and a natural public park along a very impressive glacial river. The main house is the hosts home so communication is very easy and the appartment has ample private parking space, and is literally just 200 meters off the ring road no.1 and in walking distance to the center of Selfoss, with all it's restaurants and shops etc.
The location is pretty close for daytrips to any of the south Iceland destinations, given you have your own car. For shorter trips the public swimming pool/hot tubs/sauna in the neighbouring town, Hveragerði, is the best, there you can go for great hikes and enjoy dining out for days too.
Hi @Brynja11 , I love the cover photo of your listing with the northern lights 😍
The proximity to the natural park, northern lights, and wildlife might be very attractive to guests.
Do your guests often take advantage of the proximity to the glacial river and natural park for walks or hikes?
Do share a picture of beautiful northern light with us! 🤩
Hi. Thank you! No not really. Only for the northern lights
Hi @Brynja11 , yesterday we had the pleasure of witnessing the northern lights here in Toronto,Canada due to the solar activity. I saw them for the very FIRST time 😍 I was so thrilled!
Wow! Fantastic
My listing location is truly special because it's just 100 metres from the beach. One side of the terrace has a mountain view, while the other side looks at the sea. Also, the neighborhood can offer you everything, since in a very close distance there is a super market, restaurants with excellent local cuisine as well as cocktail bars where visitors can enjoy their drink.
