Which items to include in a kitchenette?

I am stopping guests using the main kitchen due to the mess and damage by some guests; also some guests have helped themselves to things in my fridge.

I am setting up a small kitchenette area. I'm including a small fridge freezer, microwave and hot plate. Any other items should be included?

@Mark4752 Looking at your listings they seem far too small to add a kitchenette area.  All you appear to be doing is moving the guest mess to another room for you to have to clean.

It is good to add a room size refrigerator and a microwave, but not the hot plate.  Guests will leave food trash in the bedrooms and wash dishes in the bathroom sink.

You need to have communication with your guests.  Explain your house rules and don't create more cleaning...

just my opinion...

@Mark4752 To charge £25/night and then add £2/day for use of the kitchen strikes me as awfully cheap (of you - Not cheap as in inexpensive).

The average price for the area is £40+ per night. So £27 to include kitchen use is a bargain.

Then increase your pricing @Mark4752  - one price to include kitchen use .

Some guests do not use the kitchen; why should they pay extra? It's clear in the info there is a charge so people will decide for themselves. Two guests in the two rooms right now. One pays for the kitchen, one doesn't.

I make enough money from the price I charge. I enjoy high occupancy and don't need higher fees.
