bathroom : bath rug or wooden slat ? Which one do guests prefer?

Hi,

 

I'm contemplating buying wooden slats instead of bath rugs.  More hygienic?

We use bath rugs from Ikea. They dry really quickly after washing and provide more comfort in our cold climes. Wooden slats may work in warmer climates but I am not sure how you can properly clean them between bookings.
