I am renovating the bathroom and have to decide if I want just a shower or a shower and a tub. The shower would look sleeker and more modern but do
people like having the option of a bath tub. We see our rental as being short or long term as it has a complete kitchen and a separate entrance. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

@Brian3808 . You have a lovely 3 bed house and I'm a serial renovator. To maximise flexibility for any type of guest and being able to switch between short and long term I'd have a tub. Get a casement door to open up floor space and can you swap bath/shower and vanity to give more overhead height in shower? That sloping upper wall wont matter if its over a vanity with built in storage and mirror. Replace ceiling light with an LED downlight (or two).
You have such lovely outdoor setting have you also considered an outdoor shower? I note you have a sauna. You could also get an outdoor claw bath plumbed for hot water then screen off for privacy add some solar fairy lights and presto romantic couple time. Might not work in dead of winter but could also be used as an ice bath after sauna: just gather up the surrounding snow..😉
@Brian3808 my preference would be a shower over a tub (assuming there is no room for the ideal of separate shower and tub).
Sleeker will not win bookings - choice of shower or tub will.
You should take into account your target market. Do you rargey a market tnar a tub us a plus. For a STR I think a tub is a plus usually ifckildren in the group as an adult I have never raken a barh instead of shower basically my rime is too busy wording or vacarioning.

@Brian3808 With 3 bedrooms but a single bathroom, keep the tub, especially if your guest demographic is families with children.
Hi @Brian3808 , I noticed you've received helpful replies from hosts Lorina, Frances, Marie and Mike! What do you think of their suggestions?
Keep us posted of your progress with the bath tub!
