Guests can now upgrade their stay with services like a private chef or personal trainer—right at their Airbnb.* We’re launching in 260 cities with 10 categories: chefs, photography, massage, spa treatments, personal training, hair, makeup, nails, prepared meals, and catering. Services are vetted for quality, taking into account criteria like the service host’s knowledge, education, and reputation.
We’re introducing completely reimagined Airbnb Experiences—hosted by locals who know their city best. Guests have new ways to find and book experiences, giving them even more reasons to visit your city. Activities include unique tours, tastings, outdoor activities, workshops, and more. Experiences are vetted for quality, with a focus on hosts’ knowledge, reputation, and authenticity.
We’ve rebuilt the app for hosts to include everything you need to manage your home, service, or experience. All-new tools make it even easier to manage reservations, stay on top of scheduling, and grow your business.

I am really excited about the relaunch of Experiences again. For me as a traveller, if possible, I will look for a fun, unique Experience to enjoy! They have always been one of the highlights of my trips.
Services seems very interesting, I for see it being a great opportunity for a small business owner who does not have a typical bricks and mortar business, someone who works from home, and can create a client base of hosts who may refer their services. Excited to see this grow.
I guess the un-answered questions are still here though, 'How will hosts profit from the services and be protected from new liabilities?'.

In un momento in cui gli hotel accusano le locazioni turistiche di "concorrenza sleale", proporre un’estensione dei “servizi da hotel” è una consapevole dichiarazione di guerra e sopratutto, perchè Airbnb dichiara volutamente di voler assomigliare agli hotel? Non ha già la sua chiara e forte identità?
Inoltre, se proprio vogliamo fare il paragone con gli hotel, non mi risulta che l’accesso a fornitori esterni nelle camere sia consentito senza autorizzazione e scelta dei fornitori da parte della struttura. Perché gli host non dovrebbero avere lo stesso diritto di controllo?
2. CAMBIAMENTO DELL'IDENTITA' DELLA PIATTAFORMA / MISSION
Lato Guest, per quanto mi riguarda, viene meno il "mood" della piattaforma È una visione personale, certo, ma sono sicura di non essere l’unica a pensarlo, ed è la cosa per me più impattante.

La comunicazione che ha introdotto questa novità, la tipologia dei servizi, l'impossibilità da parte dell'host di controllare i fornitori, e la nuova grafica della home, vanno verso l'appiattimento dell'esperienza.
Dato che si parla di una multinazionale strutturata, non posso non pensare che tutte queste considerazioni siano già state valutate e che la nuova direzione sia una scelta consapevole che porterà a cambiamenti nella tipologia di utenza e di offerta.
Ringrazio comunque chi si prenderà il tempo per leggere e magari dare un'interpretazione diversa.

Please bring back notes. You allow calendar syncing with other agencies like booking dot com so it seems very unhelpful to not allow us to mark in the calendar that is is a bdc booking or a reminder that dates are blocked off for maintenance ur when I want to stay.
I agree, notes is a core function that we use to plan in maintenance etc. From memory, notes was temporarily down after a previous release, so hopefully this is a bug that gets fixed.
The only way I can still access/edit notes is via the top level calendar view on desktop.
@Shelley159 reports Notes are still working if you click calendar on the Today page?
They are also still available if you turn on Professional Hosting tools and use the multicalendar. Professional Tools can be used by all hosts even if you only have one listing; it is only available on desktop (not the App though). It's a workaround for now until Airbnb corrects notes:

Per me potrebbero essere anche corsi a pagamento, magari con un piccolo prezzo dato che sono strumenti che ci servono.
Altrimenti andiamo a comperare corsi costosi da privati e magari non sono così utili.
Ho apprezzato e letto tutti gli articoli per migliorare servizi, pulizie, annunncio, ecc.... sono utili, ma io vorrei un corso più pratico ad esempio su tutte le funzionalità del calendario. video sarebbe meglio.

E noi diventiamo più bravi e riceviamo più prenotazioni con voi.

For Hosts who are not commercial, there is a higher fear or risk factor then a commercial company selling to the open public.
I have heard the Host's complaints tha "Airbnb Customer Support has changed Host's don't feel supported".
Many not comercial Hosts have left the platform.
The next few years the outcry of no Airbnb Customer Support will be the Guests.
Middle men don't really have a customer to support.
Guests make the decision to purchase.
I don't see the incentive for a Guest to release their money.
The new Summer Edition of Airbnb immediately presents several critical issues.
Some highly useful features, previously available, now seem to be missing, particularly:
The Activity Log, which tracked every detail about bookings, listing modifications, and calendar changes.
The Price Comparison Map, which allowed hosts to see rates of similar listings in their area—both booked and unbooked—for any custom date range. Now, it’s restricted to a fixed two-month window set by Airbnb. This is a severe limitation, especially in a dynamic and unique market like Rome, where prices must be adjusted almost daily to stay competitive.
Worse still, Airbnb has automatically enrolled all listings into its "Experiences at Home" program by default—a move that creates serious problems for MANY hosts.
These "Experiences" are entirely outside the host’s control, offering no apparent benefit to them, while increasing their risks:
Higher chances of property damage, excessive trash production, and extra cleaning burdens.
Legal and insurance vulnerabilities—most insurance companies do not (and cannot) cover incidents involving non-registered guests.
Growing backlash in Italy (and other markets like Spain), where political and media campaigns are fueling hostility toward short-term rentals, especially in residential buildings. Increased traffic from "Experiences" will only worsen tensions, potentially leading to condominium bans on hosting altogether.
Most critically, Italian law explicitly prohibits private hosts from offering OR ALLOW any services beyond PURE basic lodging.
By pushing "Experiences," Airbnb is not only disregarding local regulations but also putting hosts at legal risk.
Airbnb’s Disregard for Local Laws?
Even more alarming is Airbnb’s insistence on promoting "Self-Check-In" listings over "In-Person Check-In"—despite the fact that self-check-in is illegal in Italy for private short-term rentals.
This is utterly UNFAIR, as it penalizes law-abiding hosts who comply with regulations, as Airbnb’s algorithm and marketing unfairly favor illegal listings. Yes, "self-chekin-listings are ILLEGAL in Italy".
A Call for Responsibility
Airbnb must start paying attention SERIOUSLY to the legal and political realities of the markets where it operates.
This aggressive "Experiences" marketing push—along with the promotion of illegal self-check-in—risks a severe backlash, pushing hosts toward other platforms that respect local laws.
Why must hosts bear the burden of opting out of a feature they never wanted?
Airbnb should require an opt-in for "Experiences," not penalize those who comply with the law.
The current approach is unsustainable and will only accelerate the migration of frustrated hosts to other OTAs, while exposing its image to further damage from malicious press campaigns pressed by its competirors.
