We believe in a world where anyone can belong anywhere. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that Airbnb is now available in 31 new languages. From Albanian to Zulu, we’re taking further steps to help everyone feel welcome on Airbnb, no matter what language they speak.

Doubling our language offerings not only helps create a stronger sense of belonging—it also opens the door to even more potential guests. As we expand our support to a total of 62 languages, we also wanted to thank you for continuing to welcome people from different cultures and backgrounds. We know it’s hosts like you who keep our community growing and thriving every day.

Here are the 31 new languages we now support:

By increasing our language options, we hope more people will feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated—no matter where they live, what language they speak, and their cultural heritage.

I would love to make my listing available in more languages than English but as far as i can see you have have to choose one language and you can't add other languages to English. Is this correct?

Hello @Dawn-Maria0,

It's great to hear you would like to translate you listing into other languages. It's such a great talent.

You can actually add your listing description in multiple languages. 🙂 Here is the useful Help Center article which details this, but I've also added it below:

  1. Click Manage listing on the listing you want to edit
  2. Click Listing details at the top of the page
  3. Scroll to the Description section and click Edit
  4. Click Add language
  5. Choose a language, then click OK
  6. Click Save

It would be great to hear how you get on. 🙂

Thanks,

Lizzie

It would be great if you could add Afrikaans as well at a later date. Afrikaans is the second most speaking language in South Africa and Namibia after English. It also is the only language born in modern times that developed up to tertiary level.
