Community Center navigation upgrade

Hi hosts, 

 

We are excited to share that we have updated the Community Center to enhance the site's navigation. 

 

What’s changing?

We have introduced a new navigation bar on the left side of the Community Center – this new system makes it easier to navigate between topics.

 

What does the new navigation feature?

  • All your favourite topics are now nested under the navigation menu.
  • The menu persists across the site, making it easy to navigate back and forth between topics and threads. 
  • The menu options open and collapse depending on your preference.

What sections are included in the navigation?

We have expanded the structure by adding new sections with their corresponding boards for seamless navigation. The new sections include the following:

 

Most Popular: displays top discussions across all community topics right on the homepage carousel. 

 

Homes: discussion boards related to hosting accommodations.

  • Ask about your listing
  • Advice on your space
  • Support with your bookings 
  • Help with your business 
  • Community Guides
  • Host Circle 
  • Community Cafe 

Airbnb: updates and resources from Airbnb

  • Airbnb updates
  • Community Guidelines 
  • Resource Center
  • Help Center 
  • Local Host Clubs

A few extra features we added

When you’re on a specific topic or area, the relevant menu now gets highlighted as seen in the GIF below:

We’ve also added a breadcrumb trail, visible at the top of each page. Breadcrumbs help you trace your path across the site and easily keep track of where you are on the website.

Hi @Angela1056, thank you so much for sharing this here! I was, indeed, made aware by my colleagues Umberto and Benedetta about this. I have passed this on to the team so that they can look into this though I can't promise that there will be a quick fix to this.

Thank you @Quincy , the reason I wrote this post is that I wanted to make this issue known on the English CC as well in case any of the English speaking members encountered the same problem.

Hi @Quincy , I saw that the correct number of kudos has been restored on my profile, on that of Susanna0 and Paola4 and therefore I believe also on the profile of all the other members of the CC. So thank you for reporting to the team and also to them for the prompt intervention. Great job!

Sorry @Quincy , there is really something wrong with the kudos counting. Yesterday I saw 6,996 on my profile and today it went back to 5,998. How is that possible? Can you please report again to the dedicated team? Thank you very much!

looks great! Clean menu lay out - super helpful. I have one other question - is there an easy way to get to your property/host dashboard from the community centre or is it completely separate - I always keep a separate tab open on desktop but it means I tend to wait until I'm at my desk rather than use the community forum from my mobile... just wondering if there was better navigation between the two. Also for the purposes of critique my listing its always a bit clunky to get back and forth to the community centre. Not sure if there is an obvious navigation tab I'm not seeing! thanks

that's an interesting question and I started looking to see if that was possible to switch from the CC to our host account, whilst staying on this page. 

 

The best I've found is by clicking on the black Airbnb logo which is to the left of Community Center on the top left hand corner.  The logo and the CC have two separate click options, so if you click on just the logo you arrive on the Airbnb search platform and then you have to click on Switch to hosting.

 

Not sure this helps but you never know😉
