As @Lizzie is away from the CC next week, I'm excited to say that I'll be hosting our social meetup 😊

The meetup will be on a APAC friendly timezone, and will take place on Wednesday September 9th, 12PM (UK time).

New to CC socials: For anyone new to the socials, it's a weekly online meetup where CC members come together to connect with each other and have a bit of positivity along the way. It's not specifically Airbnb focused and anyone new is very welcome.

Ann, I tried to set in place a workshop last year to put forward senior hosts suggestions to Admin in an environment that they would stand up and take notice of. We, after all are their business! The workshop I wished to set up failed for one reason or another.....but I want to try it again!

I have a houseboat on our major river here, the River Murray.  It's not the Taj Mahal  Ann, but, it's a 65 footer, it will sleep ten in great comfort and twenty at a pinch....

It has all those extras that the average person craves.....it is fully air conditioned, has a Jacuzzi, BBQ and all the mod cons! 

Once international travel is viable again I want to set up this workshop, I guess to try and make the hierarchy realize we are polished, we have the assets and the ability to make this platform an outstanding example of what the shared economy  can offer!

I am offering you Ann a berth here next year when travel restrictions have been lifted , You will have to find a return fare to Australia but you will be met at the airport and transported to the houseboat and from that point everything....and I mean the best of everything, will be  "on the house".

It won't be all sheer enjoyment, something constructive will need to come out of this, but I think I am putting together a fine  bunch of contributors.....the whole thing will be professionally videoed  and my hope is that I can make San Francisco realise, they need to keep us in the loop....we are the action, not them!

@Robin4 Well, one of my favorite tunes and what fun. Just wish I'd been in that dancing...Remember Rob I danced for a few decades and traveled the world.....seeing that brought back days I fondly remember. 

Although the post was to Ann - wow that boat is something spectacular for sure. Do you live far from the water? I'm not clear how far inland you are? 

Ok, onward and upward......another lovely hot florida day - where the death toll rises, but numbers of testing are down, so people think its getting better - its all pretty nutzo as is those that are incharge at the moment. 

Did you hear the latest? he (orange man) was mentioned for a nomination for a nobel prize??? I'm betting on Greta and hoping someone deserving will receive it. Its gotten so out of control and hand - daily I'm bewildered at what next?? !!

This screenshot gives a good idea of us geographically. We are about 45 Kms from the ocean and about the same distance to the river.

It may not look like much of a river on the map but it is 2,508 Kms long.....and it is water all the way!!! 

Nobel Prize.....what on earth for? From the two you mentioned, one's an entitled brat and the other is an entitled adult!

We sure do hear of some strange things in this day and age!

@Robin4  thanks for the map and pics.....awesome. You have things pretty sweet I would say.

About the "entitled brat"......I have to say she is more conscience and aware of the world around herself and all of us than the majority of adults, at least many of those on my side of globe. She cares about a future planet she might get to live in. So I would lighten up on her - remember Rob she's very young - I was still climbing trees and fighting my brothers at her age. (oh wait, I'm still fighting my brothers, not climbing trees, but growing some amazing plants/garden, does that count??
