Hi all, first time hosting. I am very excited but have some concerns
I got my first reservation really quickly
But
Guest has no profile picture
While I responded quickly to his questions, he is not answering my messages
Reservation is for 28 days
He will arrive today.
And still not answering
Is this behavior something anyone is familiar with?

Yeah, some guests don’t even have the Airbnb app installed on their phone. Sometimes they’re only replying through their email notifications, so they may miss important messages or have trouble accessing links and check-in details quickly.
Have you already sent your check-in instructions, directions, and arrival details? It’s usually best to send them ahead of time through Airbnb messages and also ask the guest to confirm they received everything.

Good you got 28 days reservation, Do you stay nearby or remote place. Keep in touch with the guest on the check in day and if possible every week by giving mesage. Hope they will respond soon.

You can go in to settings and require your future guests to add a photo in order to book with you .
And yes this happened to me in the past. The guest turned out to be a good guest but they didn’t check the app for whatever reason.
