There are a lot of issues with this site: 

1) once you add notes to a reservation, they cannot be edited or removed (people do cancel!)

2) once you highlight a date, it stay highlighted forever

3) crossing out dates on calendar is not helpful, I cannot see where I have a check in/check out, it's just all crossed off --unless of course it's an airbnb booking 

4) I have a minimum of 3 nights stay, but b/c airbnb crosses off unbookable dates, I cannot tell if I have a booking or if it's crossed off b/c 2 or less days. this impacts my ability to offer a 2-night promo or go myself to check on things

I'll try to give my answers, hopefully others will also respond to give you some balanced feedback!

1) I can edit and delete notes when I click the date. On the desktop, you also first have to click on the note to be able to edit it.

2) I'm not sure what you mean by highlight.

3) For bookings from other sites I think you're supposed to use notes. Airbnb can only 'see' the night is blocked on a linked site. It cannot see whether you blocked the date on the other site, or whether it's a booking (or multiple bookings).

4) I know what you mean. It can be confusing and it looks the same as a non-Airbnb booking when you look at the calendar. Only if you click the date you can see why it's blocked:
