I’m not asking whether I should create an LLC (which is all I can find by searching). I’ve already created an LLC on the advice of my lawyer and accountant. But I can’t figure out how to indicate this on my listing.
I want my listing to be clear that my guests are renting from my LLC, not me personally. I tried turning on professional hosting tools, but it looks like that doesn’t work in the US. Do I have any options other than creating an entirely new profile for my LLC? It seems like a shame to lose my personal history as a guest, so people can tell I’m a real person and not a large property management company.
Hi @Lynn1810 , oddly I was told just the opposite about alloying for a LLC. I will reach out my attorney.
You do not need to put in LLC in your listing.
not sure of the why your guests need to know either?
I owned a resturant/pub in Illinois & it was not on the name, not on my signature and as I pretty sure know one knew if I was a Llc, S-Crop etc. Only Illinois Revenue & Uncle Sam needed to know.
I would find it interesting to see the other comments, especially if an attorney ran an AirBnB
great question!
I’m concerned that if guests don’t know I’m an LLC, that could negate the protections the LLC gives. If booking is like making a contract - does the LLC only protect assets if guests are aware that they are booking with the LLC? Or does it still protect my assets if guests book with me personally?
