Adding a note to blocked dates has disappeared

In the recent UI the ability to add a note to blocked dates is gone. Anyone know how to access it? We use it reguarly.

You're absolutely right — with the recent Airbnb UI update (part of the May 2025 release), the ability to add notes to blocked dates has been removed, and it’s affecting a lot of hosts.

Many of us relied on that feature to track things like:

Personal use or owner stays

Maintenance and cleaning blocks

External bookings from other platforms

Team schedules and guest notes

Unfortunately, Airbnb hasn’t officially communicated why this feature was removed, but hosts have been encouraged to give feedback through the 2025 Summer Release Q&A thread here:

You might want to share your use case there — the more hosts speak up, the more likely Airbnb is to bring this essential feature back or offer an alternative.

In the meantime, some hosts are using Google Calendar, Notion, or a shared calendar app as a workaround to track notes externally, but we agree — it really should be built into the Airbnb calendar.

Yes…Airbnb is aware of a bug with Notes as a result of the Summer Release and are working on it. In the meantime, as a workaround you can turn on Professional Hosting Tools and use the Multicalendar, as the Add a Private Note feature is still available there. This is a workaround until Airbnb fixes Notes on the regular calendar. All Hosts can use Professional Tools, even if they only have one listing. The multicalendar is only available on desktop though; not the App:
