Here is my dilemma. I had a guest book a long stay, got a discount. Everything was cool. In the middle of their stay they asked to stay an additional week. I changed their check out date and they accepted. Closer to the check out date they asked for an additional few days (closing problems on their new house). I once again accommodated. Now I look back at my account and see that Airbnb has REDUNDED them over $500. Support says it is because I turned on Smart Pricing during the reservation therefore when additional days were added, they applied the SUPER LOW RATE- below my minimum- to the ENTIRE 52 days. I’m more than upset.
@Shannon806 When you change dates of a reservation the system will have given you the new price so I fear that, while Airbnb has done something stupid, you agreed to it at the time.
I would never use Smart Pricing but if I did then I would make sure the min price is acceptable to me.
