Airbnb split fee change

Airbnb split fee change

Hello

i received an email from Airbnb last week notifying me that in April 13th they are moving from a split fee to a single fee where the host is basically absorbing the full 15% fee. It would seem from the

communication that this is for people that use channel managers but it’s unclear to me if it applies to everyone and those who do not use channel managers. Can anyone provide guidance?

Hi Francesca

I didnt read it as channel mangers only ,But i hope you are right

From what Airbnb says the single-fee setup is mandatory for certain hosts, including most hosts using property management or channel management software, plus some country/category cases, while the split-fee model still exists for many others. Airbnb also says some hosts who dont use management software will be transitioned over time, which is probably why the email sounded broad. So it’s not automatically everyone right now, but it’s also not just channel-manager hosts forever. Best move is to check the exact fee model shown in your account/listing pricing settings, because Airbnb is rolling this out in phases

But now split fee is back for PMS software hosts.
